We are proud to have Dr Linda Vogelnest consulting on Mondays at SASH and running the specialist dermatology service.
Linda has worked in dermatology referral practice in Sydney for over 10 years. Her special interests include allergies, where the focus is on accurate diagnosis and individualised patient care, pyoderma and skin cytology sampling, otitis and skin histopathology. The specialist dermatology service offers referral consultations for skin disease and allergies in dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
For owners travelling for referral, we attempt to perform necessary diagnostics on the same day as the initial consultation if requested, including intradermal testing and skin biopsies. Linda is available for referrals and discussion on all aspects of skin disease, including:
- Allergies (intradermal testing, short and long-term control strategies, allergy immunotherapy)
- Otitis (external and/or middle ear infections - acute, chronic, videoscope-guided flushing)
- Infections (bacterial, fungal, parasite, viral)
- Immune-mediated diseases (e.g. pemphigus, lupus, vasculitis)
- Hairloss disorders (hormonal diseases, cosmetic follicular diseases)
- Nail and footpad diseases
- Acute or chronic, mild or extensive, and unusual or “non-specific” skin problems
