Johana is a native of Reunion Island, who moved to Australia and obtained her veterinary degree at Murdoch University in Perth in 2003.
Following two years spent in small animal practice in Darwin (Northern Australia), Jo completed a Small animal internship combined with a Masters degree in bacterial molecular biology at the University of Melbourne.
Johana then completed a 4-year residency combined with a Masters degree in Ophthalmology at the University of Liege, Belgium.
In 2013, Johana gained her European Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology and started working as a Veterinarian Ophthalmologist in private practice and at the Animal Health Trust, UK.
Johana has now moved back to Australia we are lucky to her join the team at SASH, with her main interest being cataract surgery.
