Dr Kate Hindley graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 and worked in small animal practice in Young and Sydney before moving to the United Kingdom. In the UK she spent two years working in a small animal practice in Surrey and travelling as much as possible with any time off. After returning to Australia in 2009 she took up an internship position at SASH where she developed an interest in veterinary ophthalmology. It was during this internship that she became a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientist in Small Animal Medicine.
Kate has completed residency training in Veterinary Ophthalmology under the mentoring of specialist veterinary ophthalmologist Dr Mark Billson and Dr Allyson Groth and now works as a registrar in Veterinary Ophthalmology. She has a special interest in canine corneal disease and surgery as well as ocular histopathology.
When not at work she spends time with her family and friends, of both the two and four-legged variety.
