Dr. Connor Hershkowitz grew up in New York. He received a BA in Biology from Middlebury College before obtaining his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Following veterinary school, Connor completed an intensive intern year at Colorado State University.
Connor joined the SASH Emergency and Critical Care Department in 2018. He is particularly interested in neurological emergencies.
Previously, Connor has worked at a wolf conservation center that breeds Red, Gray, and Mexican wolves for reintroduction projects. He also spent time as a field researcher in Brazil studying the relationship between apex predator populations and overall ecosystem and community health. In the lab, Connor studied the pharmacokinetics of anticancer drugs and worked on wildlife genetic sequencing projects for the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
